I was born and raised in Morrison County. Graduated from North Dakota State University in 1981. Began my engineering career with Black and Veatch Consulting Engineers working with the structural group in design of coal fired generating stations.I returned to Morrison County as the assistant county engineer in 1984. I received my initial County Engineer appointment in 1987 and have been able to convince them to reappoint me since then. My wife Michelle and I were married in 1985 and have two children, Jessica and Brent.
