County Engineers Elect Olsonawski Vice President
David A. Olsonawski, P.E., Hubbard County Engineer, Public Works Coordinator, is the newly elected Vice President of the Minnesota County Engineers Association (MCEA). David was elected at the 63rd Annual Conference January 25th, 2008. David has served on the MCEA Board of Directors and as a member and Secretary of the County Screening Board as well as several Association committees.
David is a graduate of North Dakota State University and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota. Prior to being appointed County Engineer in Hubbard County in 1991, his experience includes nine years as the Kittson County Engineer, 6 ½ years with the consultant firm Widseth Smith Nolting & Associates in Crookston Minnesota. He has been active on many regional and state transportation committees. He is a member of the Northwest Minnesota Area Transportation Partnership federal funding committee and serves on the Headwaters Regional Development Commission’s transportation advisory committee. He has received several merit awards for construction excellence on paving projects while serving Hubbard County.
David lives in Park Rapids, Minnesota with his wife, Sheryl. They have three daughters, Jana, Sarah and Lisa. David enjoys being with his family, golfing, boating, camping, and many outdoor activities.
